What this is
These terms govern your use of QuietPDF— the website at quietpdf.app. By using it, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, just close the tab. There’s no signup, so there’s nothing else to do.
What QuietPDF does
QuietPDF compresses PDF files entirely in your browser. Files are processed locally on your device and not uploaded to our servers.
Acceptable use
You can use QuietPDF for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:
- Use the site for any illegal activity
- Compress files that contain content you don’t have the right to use
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the site
- Use automated tools to scrape, mirror, or hammer the site
- Embed QuietPDF into another product without permission
No warranties
QuietPDFis provided “as is.” We try to make it work, but we don’t guarantee it will be available, error-free, or fit any particular purpose. Browser bugs happen. Files vary. Compression results vary. Use your own judgment.
We make no guarantees about:
- The availability of the site
- The quality or compression ratio of output files
- Compatibility with every PDF reader or every device
- Future feature continuity
Always keep your own backup of important files.Compression is destructive when using Balanced or Extreme presets. You’re responsible for ensuring you have an original copy.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, QuietPDFand its operators aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost data, lost time, or business losses — arising from your use of the site. Your sole remedy is to stop using the site.
Donations
Donations made via Ko-fi are processed by Ko-fi, not us. They’re non-refundable gifts, not payments for services. We don’t owe you a feature in exchange.
Third-party services
We use Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and link to Ko-fi. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of them — see our Privacy Policy for more.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll update the “Last updated” date. Substantial changes will get a banner on the home page.
Termination
We may discontinue the site, restrict access, or pull features at any time. You may stop using the site at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Republic of the Philippines.
