So, a blog. QuietPDFhas only ever had one job: compress your PDFs without ever uploading them. This is just the place where we’ll think out loud about where the tool goes next, and share the odd thing we’ve learned along the way.
What you’ll find here
- New features. When we ship something (a faster compressor, a new preset, batch improvements), we’ll tell you what it does and why we bothered.
- Practical PDF tips. Hitting an email attachment limit, when lossless beats balanced, keeping a scan readable while shrinking it.
- How the privacy actually works. Plain-English write-ups of what “in your browser” really means, and why your files never reach a server.
The one thing that won’t change
Every PDF you drop into QuietPDFis compressed right there in your browser tab. That’s the whole point of the thing, and it isn’t going anywhere. If there’s a feature or a guide you’d like to see, tell us. Most of what we build started as somebody’s request.
